The Intermediate training is a great multiple day training made for an advanced roaster to enhance the level of expertise. We dive deeper in the technique of roasting, heat tranfer and sensorial differences per roast style. Timing your roast en repeating the end colour of the roast. We will practice the sensorial skills to find the main roast defects. Next to that you will learn calculating the phyological changes of your roasted coffee.
Your can separately order your exam. This might not be on the same days as the training itself. Unless there is space for it on the last day. This depends on the size of the group. If you are not able to make it on a different day please let us know upfront so we can plan your training in on the same day. Important: if you are not ready for the exam and need more practice you or the trainer can deside to not do the exam.
The written exam will be online. For every student a seperate quite place will be arranged to do the exam once. After this the exam can be discussed. You are able to do the re-exam for free, this will not be at the roastery but at your own valition. Must be before 3 weeks after the training.
The practicle exam exist out of 5 parts. 2 parts roasting, 2 parts sensory and 1 part visual recognition.
