Kenya – Karimikui – Washed


We finally got the Karimikui again! This coffee was our favourite last year and comes from the Karimikui Factory (fun fact, in Kenya all washing stations are actually called factories). The Karimikui Factory was already established in 1966 and currently over 50 years old! The coffee is hand sorted, fermented for 16-24 hours, washed, soaked for 16-18 hours and then dried on African beds for up to 21 days.
