Ethiopia – Keramo Village – Washed

Our new Ethiopia! Produced by the 1500 coffee farmers around Keramo Village in the Sidama Region. These farmers supply their production to Keramo Washing Station, which is led by exporting partner Daya Bensa. This area in Ethiopia reaches altitudes of over 2300m above sea level! This altitude results in very dense, small beans. They grow and mature very slowly in comparison with other regions.

The coffee is wet fermented for 36-72 hours. After this, they are dried on African beds with clean plastic mesh for 9-12 days, until they contain around 10% moisture. When the sun is at its highest, the beds are covered to prevent over drying.

Notes: wild berries, bergamot, chocolate
